We recommend that you test your water at least once a week, but test of chlorine levels at least twice a week.

A well balanced water will prevent corrosion and scaling of the pool, as well as provide maximal comfort while swimming.

Cloudiness usually means lack of sanitization. During hot weather times, the increased heat and pool traffic uses chlorine much faster. If you are having cloudy water, test your pool’s chlorine level and adjust accordingly.

Although the two are related, but each has a different role in maintaining a healthy pool. Total Alkalinity acts like a buffer for your pH level. In simpler terms, the higher the total alkalinity, the more difficult it is to adjust the pH level. If the TA level is too low, pH level will fluctuate easily and be difficult to maintain.

You can clean your pool in one of two ways, depending on your budget.
1 – you can purchase a good quality robotic pool cleaner for fast operation.
2 – you can purchase a manual cleaning & vacuum set. (less expensive option)

Beneath the surface of a crystal clear pool, there is at least one properly maintained pump, a high quality media filter and a chlorine dosing set. In addition to that, a pool should have quality skimmers or overflow channels to allow for water passage, sufficient water inlets, and properly sized piping network.

At first, the pool’s volume must be known, and the pool’s purpose, whether it’s a private, public or kids pool.
A private pool has a turn over rate of 6 hours on average.
A public pool has a turn over rate of 4 hours on average.
A kids pool has a turn over rate of 2 hours on average.

Turnover rate is the rate by which the total pool volume has passed through the filter.
For example, a 60 cubic meter private pool would require a 6 hour turn over rate, which means that the filtration rate is 60/6 = 10 cubic meter/hour.
If it were a public pool, it would require a filtration rate of 15 cubic meter/hour, and similarly if it were a kids pool, it would require a rate of 30 cubic meter/hour

Basically, the larger the pool, the larger the needed equipment is going to be.
As with the example above, the private pool with a filtration rate of 10 cubic meter/hour is definitely going to be cheaper than if it were a kids pool with the same specifications. The kids pool having a higher filtration rate would require multiple pumps and a larger filter vessel than a private pool. Therefore, the kids pool would cost more.

An overflow pools, or infinity pools revolve around having the water level always at or higher than the pool edges, where by it falls through overflow channels to a compensation tank, then pumped to filtration and disinfection. Water in overflow pools is introduced from floor inlets, meaning that the water travels vertically, often said that it provides a higher level of water quality, and more than often used for public pools.
Skimmer pools rely on a device called a skimmer, which can be found under the top edge of the pool, often water only covers half of the unit and works on skimming the uppermost layer of water. Water inlets are usually placed on the wall facing the skimmer system to push the water into the units.
